May 20 New Collection from Juvia's Place: Something Magical in Uptown...

When it comes to eyeshadow and highlighter pigments, Juvia’s Place is easily in my Top 10. For one, you can’t beat the color pay-off and quality. Secondly, the price point. At Juvia’s price point, I walk in and out of ULTA feeling rich. TODAY, Juvia’s Place launches its own “I Am Magic” Foundation and Concealer line and given their track record, to say that I must try it is an understatement.

The “I Am Magic” Foundation Line consists of 3 Kingdoms: Nubian, Medium, & Fair, ranging from deepest dark to very light for a total of 42 shades. The concealer collection consists of 24 shades, divided into 6 families, ranging from deepest dark to light/fair and goes for $14. The new collection has been all over my feed and I’ve yet to see any less than stellar commentary from anybody, so fingers crossed that my first swatches of it go well.

Now if you’re already a fan of Juvia’s Place or just want to try something new, I know what you’re thinking: All that info is fine and dandy, but what’s MY shade?? I always recommend actually going into the store and swatching colors in person when it comes to foundations *those of you who buy a whole new and unfamiliar foundation straight off the internet are a different kind of daredevil, and I applaud you.* But if you simply must get your hands on the magic this week and want to buy online, I highly suggest you follow @thebaseics and @cocoaswatches on IG. They’ve literally taken all the guess work out of color matching yourself both online and in person. Cocoa Swatches has swatched all 42 shades of foundation plus included corresponding shades from other brands so you know exactly where you fall in the “I Am Magic” shade range. For example, based on the info they provided, because I’m typically a 420 in the Fenty Pro Filt’r Foundation, I’d be shade 210 Togo in the “I Am Magic” Foundation.
